'Nanni Dhargun' QUT SHED Project

My concept for the second assessment of the Queensland University of Technology's (QUT) subject 'DAB101: Architectural Design 1: Explorations' was curated in response to the task of designing a structure (shed/ pavilion) on a site at the Gardens Point campus.

The purpose of the structural design was to "provide a space for members of the broader university community to gather to engage in sustainability-related dialogue, activities, knowledge-sharing and learning" (Queensland University of Technology, 2022).

Exploration of the project was conducted in collaboration with the pre-existing QUT SHED Project, UXB100 students, QUT Facilities Management and the Campus to Country initiative.

'Nanni Dhargun' in Yuggera language means to "See Country" and this is exactly what the final concept aimed to fulfil. Specifically, to conceptually explore the theme of 'gatherings' in relation to thinking and doing things in a space on Turrbal and Yugara Country, with others.
